Peter and Ainslie have always served within their local church. For over a decade they have stepped into numerous leadership roles and in 2010 were ordained as pastors with International Network of Churches (INC). From 2010 to 2016, Peter and Ainslie served in a voluntary capacity on the strategic leadership team at Suncoast Church. This season saw them developing and lead the Marrieds and Families Department consisting of three strategically cultivated demographics being; Suncoast Young Marrieds (SYM), Suncoast Young Families (SYF) and Suncoast Families with Teens (SFT). The next season of their leadership stepped into developing, writing and leading the ‘GROW’ department which was a church community discipleship model. This model consisted of five pathways (Alpha, Ignite, Activate, Influence and Lead) and included numerous supporting workshops. Together with this role, Peter was the Principal and Key Lecturer for the Suncoast Bible College and Ainslie was the Safe Churches Officer.
In 2016, they transitioned to the C3 movement as they felt the call to widen the scope of their itinerant ministry Real Deal Relationships. Over the last two years that have been attending their local church C3 Kawana Waters, and have served in the capacity of marriage ministry, prayer ministry and on the team as a men’s pastor. Recently Peter and Ainslie stepped into their next season where they are calling C3 Noosa their home, with Pastors’ Christian and Melissa McCudden.
For over eleven years, within their pastoral role, Peter and Ainslie are Relationship Coaches and have supported many couples to move from survive to thrive! Churches from all denominations, local GP’s and community members refer couples in need to Peter and Ainslie for relationship coaching. Others thread to this coaching ministry is pre-martial sessions and couples that are seeking to enrich their relationship. This coaching methodology has been extremely successful and reflects the tone for Real Deal Relationships. Peter and Ainslie currently have a relationship coaching practice on the Sunshine Coast. Peter and Ainslie take every opportunity to foster an authentic, functional and spiritually empowered community.
In 2016, Peter and Ainslie developed a course for The Australian Army called ‘Ease Springs – navigating relational conflict.’ This course is part of the Army’s Resilience Framework which seeks to promote effective and healthy relationships while reducing Domestic Violence within the community. ‘Ease Springs’ is a one day training course which is regularly facilitated across Army for both serving members and their partners.
Both Peter and Ainslie are also heavily involved within the marketplace. Peter works full time as a Senior Constable with Queensland Police, part time as a Major in the Army Reserve and has completed his Masters of Theology, Graduate Diploma of Teaching (Secondary) and a Bachelor of Policing (with Distinction). Ainslie works full time as a Deputy Principal – Student Engagement and has completed her Masters of Education in Guidance and Counselling, Graduate Diploma in Christian Ministry (with Commendation) and a Bachelor of Learning Management (with Distinction).
Peter and Ainslie have been married for 30 years and have three grown children who are all committed to, and involved in the house of God. Their oldest daughter Jade is a Clinical Coach Nurse with Queensland Health and is married to an amazing man of God, Chris. Maddison has a creative edge to everything that she puts her hand to, with an emphasis on Event Management. While their son Brodie is a Secondary HPE teacher and a freelance drummer. Peter and Ainslie refer to their children as the fruit of their relationship and God’s hand of favour over their household.
